Why does this matter?
It matters because brain science, trauma research, attachment theory and most importantly, life experience– proves over and over again that the most critical ingredient to growth and healing for all human beings is connection. All of us in the Child Welfare community want growth and healing for the children and families we serve. Positive connections, no matter how short or how long, promote hope. We, as part of the Child Welfare family, also want to continue to feel hopeful and empowered to help families heal and grow.
